A delegation of ten domestic tourism and hotel companies presented Kazakhstan's tourism potential to key travel agents and tour operators in Qatar, QazMonitor reports.
The visit to the Persian Gulf country received support from the embassy of Kazakhstan in Qatar, the ministry of culture and sport, the national company Kazakh Tourism, and the city administration of Shymkent.
During the meeting, the embassy noted that Qatari residents are showing a growing interest in tour packages to our country, often giving positive feedback on Kazakh tourism and hospitality. While Kazakh Tourism presented the prospects of cooperation between the countries, highlighting the establishment of direct flights between Almaty and Doha, as well as the visa-free regime for Qatari citizens in Kazakhstan.
In turn, Qatar travel companies expressed their readiness to enter into contracts for outbound tours to our country. In addition, the Qatari side noted that Kazakstan’s official tourism webpage supports Arabic, presenting information on all key destinations in the country.
