At the Arabian Travel Market 2023 in Dubai, the UAE, Kazakhstan was recognized as the trending destination for tourists from Middle Eastern countries, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of culture and sport.
From May 1 to 4, The event brought together 2,000 exhibitors from more than 150 countries and over 34,000 visitors. Kazakhstan was represented by 13 tour companies, 5 hotels, the national airline Air Astana, and the tourism departments of Shymkent city and Zhetysu region.
At the Versatile Excellence Travel Awards ceremony held during the exhibition, Kazakhstan was awarded as the best-trending destination for travelers from the Middle East.
Talgat Amanbayev, the chair of the board of the national company Kazakh Tourism, said that domestic companies reached several agreements with foreign partners and held a number of bilateral meetings with international tour companies focused on inbound tourism to Kazakhstan.
Established in 1994, Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is the largest annual tourism exhibition in the Middle East. The ATM covers a wide range of industries and services, including airlines, tour operators, hotels and resorts, cruises, tourist attractions, and technology services.
