The IT sphere in Kazakhstan is experiencing rapid growth, with numerous events taking center stage across different regions of the country. The Digital and Space Ministry reported that numerous hackathons, Olympiads, idea pitches, and forums were organized throughout the country over the past year.
In this context, regional IT hubs are advancing educational and incubation projects among schoolchildren and students. These hubs actively engage participants in No Code/Low Code courses and provide opportunities to take part in initiatives like Freelance School, Startup Academy, and Beta Career programs. Schoolchildren and students can also engage in free monthly webinars organized by Astana Hub and Kazakh IT specialists from abroad.
Moreover, the domestic IT scene has fostered a partnership with Google Developers Group (GDG), which not only grants access to advanced technologies and practices but also facilitates the exchange of valuable experiences between regional IT hubs and global leaders.
International forums, featuring guest speakers from Google and BNB Chain, have been successfully held in five cities so far – Taraz, Kyzylorda, Petropavl, Turkistan, and Semey. The Ministry particularly highlighted the forum hosted in Semey, which gathered over 1,500 participants from startups, IT companies, and STEAM school projects. This event provided a significant opportunity for nationwide networking.
