Kazakh students representing Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, Kazakh-British Technical University, and Yessenov University have claimed the Grand Prize in the Computing Track category at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 in Bahrain, QazMonitor reports.
On December 19-21, the Regional Finals for the Middle East and Central Asia took place at Bahrain Polytechnic with the participation of 20 teams from eleven countries – Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. These teams participated in exams, field trips, and workshops across the country, while the award ceremony was held at the University of Bahrain.
As the winners of the competition, Team Kazakhstan will advance to the Global Finals in China in May next year, which will host 20,000 students from 500 universities worldwide.
The Huawei ICT Competition is a competitive Information and Communications Technology talent exchange event developed by the Chinese multinational technology corporation Huawei for university and college students globally.
