The national oil transport operator KazTransOil began shipping 25,000 tons of Russian oil to Uzbekistan, QazMonitor reports.
According to the operator’s official message, the ministry of energy scheduled the oil shipments to Uzbekistan via the Omsk-Pavlodar-Shymkent-Shagyr route earlier this year. It is expected that this year's transit through the main oil pipeline system will reach 250,000 tons.
KazTransOil is part of the national oil and gas company KazMunayGas and manages a diversified network of 5,400 km of main oil pipelines across the country.
