Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Resume Bus Service

Bus routes depart from Tashkent to five Kazakh cities

Uzbekistan has announced the launch of bus routes from Tashkent to cities in Kazakhstan. Four buses will depart daily from Tashkent for Almaty, and one bus will go to Nur-Sultan, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, and Shymkent. The full schedule:

Tashkent - Almaty: 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:30 (200,000 som or 8,000 tenge)

Tashkent - Kyzylorda: 19:00 (200,000 som or 8,000 tenge)

Tashkent - Nur-Sultan: 18:00 (350,000 som or 14,000 tenge)

Tashkent - Turkestan: 19:00 (100,000 som or 4,000 tenge)

Tashkent - Shymkent: 12:00 (60,000 som or 2,400 tenge)

The buses leave from the bus station "Tashkent" (subway station "Almazar"). Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of the bus station.

Earlier, Kazakhstan lifted restrictions on crossing the border with Uzbekistan. However, there is still a requirement for mandatory presentation of a certificate with a negative PCR or a document/passport of a full course of vaccination/revaccination against COVID-19 by Kazakh citizens, foreigners residents and foreign nationals in Kazakhstan.
