Wizz Air to Launch Turkistan–Abu Dhabi Flights

The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

The Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air plans to launch the Turkistan–Abu Dhabi flight route starting January 16, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Turkistan regional administration.

The airline will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. One-way tickets from Turkistan to Abu Dhabi will be priced at $139.99 or $210.39 with baggage (₸63,388.83 and ₸95,266.63, or Dhs514.16 and Dhs772.72, as of January 9, 2024). For the Abu Dhabi–Turkistan direction, the cost will be $44.99 or $115.39 with baggage (₸20,371.91 and ₸52,249.71, or Dhs165.24 and Dhs423.80).

Zulfukhar Zholdasov, the First Deputy Head of the Turkistan region, highlighted the increasing tourism influx into the region, with 235,000 domestic tourists and 14,488 foreign tourists visiting in the first eleven months of 2023. Notably, eleven tourists from the UAE visited the region.
