Flights between Almaty and Doha will soon be available twice a day, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee.
Following the negotiations between aviation authorities in Kazakhstan and Qatar on July 26-27, the number of permitted flights between the two countries was increased.
"In line with the agreements reached, Qatar Airways plans to increase the number of direct regular passenger flights along the Almaty-Doha route from seven to 14 times a week (two flights per day), starting from the fall-winter period of 2023-2024," the committee noted.
Furthermore, the airline is also considering the possibility of opening air travel between Astana and Doha in the near future.
"The increase in the number of flights between Kazakhstan and Qatar will contribute to further development of tourism, investment, business and cultural cooperation between the countries," reported the Civil Aviation Committee.
