The aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Russia agreed to resume regular flights between Almaty and Sochi starting June 28, QazMonitor reports citing the civil aviation committee.
The flight route will be operated by the Russian airline Azimuth, utilizing the Sukhoi Superjet-95. The flights will have a frequency of one flight per week on Thursdays.
The resumption of flights is expected to facilitate the further development of trade, economic, business, tourism, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
