On June 22, the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan agreed to increase the number of weekly flights from 32 to 42 on each side, QazMonitor reports citing the civil aviation committee.
During the official visit to Azerbaijan led by PM Alikhan Smailov, the minister of industry and infrastructural development Marat Karabayev signed an agreement with the minister of digital development and transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev that outlines the expansion of air communication between the countries. The new flights will be operated by designated carriers.
This agreement is expected to foster stronger bilateral trade, economic, business, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
