In Q1 2022, 845.2 thousand departures were registered, which marks a 66% increase in the same period of 2023.
From January to March 2023, 1.1 million international travelers chose Kazakhstan as their destination, marking an increase of 3.9 times compared to 293.2 thousand tourists in Q1 2022. The number of accommodations amounted to 3,848, which is 92 units more than last year.
The number of served visitors amounted to 1.5 million. Resorts were visited by over 703 thousand tourists. The volume of services provided by accommodation facilities in the three-month period amounted to ₸43.1 billion, which is 64.8% more than the same period last year.
In addition, Kazakhstan currently has 25 facilities with a five-star rating, which accommodated 173,000 guests, according to the report on Q1 2023.
