KazTransOil Shipped 563,000 Tons of Oil via Caspian Routes in 2024

The company transported 232,000 tons of oil through the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline in January–February

In January–February 2024, national oil transporter KazTransOil shipped 232,000 tons of oil from the Tengiz field to feed oil into the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline, and another 331,000 tons from Aktau port to Makhachkala port (Russia), QazMonitor reports citing the company’s press service.

Statistics for 2023: Oil tankers loaded in the port of Aktau using KazTransOil's facilities amounted to 3.376 million tons, out of which 1.057 million tons were directed to the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (Azerbaijan–Georgia–Turkiye) oil pipeline.

Background: In 2022, KazMunayGas, the parent company of KazTransOil, and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) agreed to boost the transportation volume from the Tengiz field to the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline to 1.5 million tons of oil annually.
