Emirates airline, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has announced its plans to commence flights to Kazakhstan in 2024, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee.
Talgat Lastayev, the Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee, held a meeting with Mohamed Alhammadi, the airline's Manager for Iran and Central Asia, to discuss the upcoming launch and the commissioning of Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft for operating the route.
Emirates is the world's fourth-largest airline in terms of scheduled revenue passenger-kilometers flown. The airline's fleet comprises 226 aircraft connecting 139 destinations worldwide. It is a leader among global airlines in passenger transportation, having carried more than 43 million passengers last year.
The aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and the UAE maintain an Open Skies agreement, which means there are no restrictions on flights between the two countries regarding airlines, routes, flight frequencies, and aircraft capacity.
