German development company The Hansa Consortium plans to invest $500 million in the construction and management of a new airport in Aktobe city, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee.
Talgat Lastayev, the chair of the Civil Aviation Committee, met with the executives of The Hansa Consortium to discuss the company's investment proposal for establishing a regional multimodal hub and the Aviation Technical Center in Aktobe.
The Hansa Consortium specializes in developing aviation terminals and infrastructure. Over the years, the company has been involved in renovation projects for Sheremetyevo International Airport in Russia, Karbala International Airport in Iraq, and Quetta International Airport in Pakistan. The Hansa Consortium has also contributed to aviation fuel infrastructure projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.
