Kazakh tennis player Mikhail Kukushkin leaped 39 positions, moving from 262nd place to 223rd in the updated ATP Tour rankings, QazMonitor reports.
As the runner-up of the Cranbrook Tennis Classic in the American city of Bloomfield Hills, Kukushkin significantly improved his position in the world rankings and currently holds 267 rating points. In the finals, he lost to Steve Johnson 4:6, 7:6(7), 6:4(7).
Recently, the Kazakh player also competed in the Chicago Men's Challenger, losing in the first round to Juncheng Shang, and retiring from the match at 6:7, 2:3.
