On June 20, the energy minister Almassadam Satkaliyev announced during a press briefing that Kazakhstan intends to increase oil exports to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline, QazMonitor reports citing Kazinform.

"We began with small volumes, around 20,000 tons per month at the start of the year. Now, thanks to the agreements reached, we plan to increase the supply of Kazakh oil to 100,000 tons per month after signing this agreement for the Druzhba pipeline," said Satkaliyev.

He further mentioned that the ministry is exploring the possibility of supplying oil in larger volumes, as the current shipments are trial ones for both countries. Based on the results of these shipments, discussions can be held regarding an increase in the volume of future quantities.
