Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Strengthen Industrial Cooperation

The parties considered plans to launch an international center of industrial cooperation

The ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov met with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laliz Kudratov, QazMonitor reports citing MFA press service.

During the meeting the parties discussed the implementation of instructions following the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Tashkent in December 2022.

In the light of long-term objectives regarding the further growth of trade turnover volume, the parties highlighted the readiness of border control posts to significantly increase freight traffic throughput capacity.

Furthermore, the parties considered plans to launch an international center of industrial cooperation and noted its promising role in the development of the industry. There is a high potential for the joint development of production processes localization in the automotive industry such as in manufacturing steel, aluminum, glass, polymer and leather products.
