In 2022, tourists from China spent over $16 million while visiting Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports citing Kazakh Tourism.

This figure represents a twofold increase from 2021 when tourists from China spent $8.9 million. The authorities note that on average, a Chinese tourist spends $1,000 while visiting the country.

Daniel Serzhanuly, the managing director of Kazakh Tourism, said that our country is a popular destination for several countries, including China.

“Extending the visa-free stay of Chinese tourists from 14 to 30 days will allow businesses to receive more profit from them. In addition, we are actively working to attract travelers from other countries,” said Serzhanuly.
