Kazakhstan Taekwondo Team Won First Place at Slovenia Open

The list of men’s and women’s team victories has been revealed

Kazakhstan taekwondo team won twenty-five medals at the Slovenia Open, a World Tour rating competition in Ljubljana, QazMonitor reports.

The tournament attracted over 400 athletes from all over the world. Kazakhstan's martial artists earned five gold, seven silver, and 13 bronze medals, putting the national team in first place in the team standings.

In the women's team, the following athletes received medals:

46 kg category – Rita Bakisheva in 1st place, Nargiza Koishybekova in 2nd place, and Aidana Kumartayeva in 3rd

49 kg category – Botakoz Kapanova in 3rd place

53 kg category – Victorya Kuchina in 2nd place

57 kg category – Mariya Sevostyanova in 1st place

62 kg category – Nazym Makhmutova in 3rd place

67 kg category – Nuray Khussainova in 3rd place

In the men’s team, the following athletes received medals:

54 kg category – Zhavokhirkhon Islamov in 2nd place, and Aziret Duisenbek in 3rd place

58 kg category – Samirkhon Ababakirov in 1st place, Yeldos Yskak in 2nd place, Yelzhan Yelshibay and Amanbol Begimbetov shared 3rd place

63 kg category – Nurbek Gazez in 1st place, Adilet Bazarbayev in 2nd place, and Rakhat Rakym in 3rd place

68 kg category – Eldar Birimbay in 1st place, Maksat Orynbassar in 2nd place, and Alibek Yermekbay in 3rd place

80 kg category – Rakhym Adilkhanov in 2nd place, and Nurlan Myrzabayev in 3rd place

87 kg category – Smaiyl Duisebay in 3rd place

+87 kg category – Bauyrzhan Khassenov and Ruslan Zhaparov shared 3rd place
