Additional details regarding reduced operating hours of the international airport in Nur-Sultan have been released, Qazmonitor reports citing the press service of the airport.
Earlier in June, Qazmonitor reported on the new schedule of the airport from mid-July to early August in connection to repair work of the runway.
From July 15 to August 8, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, the airport will work on a reduced schedule. In this regard, there will be changes in the schedule of the airline flights. Passengers of affected flights are offered a rebooking or a full refund of the ticket at the place of purchase.
According to Yergazy Zholdasov, deputy chairman of the Board of JSC "Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport", airlines have been warned about the upcoming repairs since February 28.
"The airlines will not fine passengers for returning tickets. We have 75 departing and arriving flights, 20 of which will change their schedule. Uzbek airlines will change their flight schedules as well. We announced a tender for 300 million tenge and agreed on repairs amounting to 280 million tenge. This is the budget for the current repairs," said Zholdasov.
