On January 15, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aibek Smadiyarov announced at the press briefing in Astana that the mutual exemption from visa requirements between Kazakhstan and Seychelles has officially entered into force, QazMonitor reports citing the MFA’s press service.

The agreement, signed on September 22, 2023, in New York, has been in force since January 6, 2024.

According to the document, citizens of both countries can benefit from a 30-day visa-free regime, allowing for multiple entries, exits, transit, and temporary stays in the territory of the other party from the moment of crossing the border checkpoint. This privilege is applicable within a 180-calendar-day period, with the cumulative time of stay on the territory of the other party not exceeding a total of 90 calendar days.

In case citizens of either party need to stay on the territory of the other party for more than 30 days, it will be necessary to obtain a visa of the relevant category in advance.
