A forum dedicated to the implementation of a Kazakh-Uzbek cross-border tourism product was hosted in the historical city of Turkistan, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the ministry of culture and sport.

Tabarruk Ziyorat is a pilot project that unites historical and cultural centers along the Great Silk Road in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, specifically Turkistan, Samarkand, and Tashkent.

The forum, which is part of the Organization of Turkic States, mainly focused on issues of border crossing, joint promotion of tourist products, and the creation of comfortable conditions for tourists. The product is expected to be jointly developed by government agencies and tour operators of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

"The launch of Tabarrak Ziyorat will positively influence the growth of tourist flow between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and will also become a unique tourist product that unites not only ancient cities and monuments but the shared history of Turkic states,” said the Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Dastan Ryspekov.

As a result of the events, a joint action plan for the implementation of the project has been initiated and will be signed in the near future.
