In the fourth match of the UEFA Nations League, the national team of Kazakhstan played against Slovakia in Nur-Sultan, winning the match 2:1, Kazakhstan Football Federation reports.
Yan Vorogovskiy scored the first goal in the 18th minute, while Elkhan Astanov delighted Kazakhstani fans in the 39th minute. Slovakia midfielder Matúš Bero scored in the second half of the game, in the 51st minute.
In the 87th-minute Slovakian player, Ondrej Duda was sent off: the midfielder committed two fouls within a minute and received a red card.
Kazakhstan continues to lead Group 3 of Division C, with 10 points in four games.
Kazakhstan will play the next Nations League match on September 22 facing rivals from Belarus.
To recap, in this season of the Nations League, Kazakhstan defeated Slovakia twice(1-0 away, 2-1 - home) and Azerbaijan (2-0), while the match with Belarus was a draw (1-1).
