This summer has been great so far for Kazakh football. Earlier we wrote about the historic success at UEFA Nations League, and our e-sports pros are next to deliver.

For the first time in history, Kazakhstan has made it to the World Cup FIFAe Nations Series 2022, reports Tengrinews.kz linking to "Schrodinger Sports" Telegram channel.

The national team of Aknazar "aka_nolito" Bekseitov (Karaganda) and Olzhas "ZhasikFIFA09" Yesentayev (Zhezkazgan) reportedly had to go to Dubai and play the qualifier there, since the nearest FIFA server is in the UAE.

There, the Kazakhs have passed two qualification stages and were among the three teams who received quotas to the World Cup 2022.

To get there, Bekseitov and Yesentayev defeated the team of Saudi Arabia, playing against the 2018 World Champion, who is also a two-time FIFA Player of the Year.

The final match against Kuwait was particularly nerve-wracking. All eyes were on Yesentayev's live stream with hearts skipping a beat at every penalty shot. The collective sigh of relief at the win was soon followed by a flood of congratulatory messages, reiterating the same sentiment - 'history has been made'.

The final will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from July 27 to 30. Twenty-four teams will compete for part of the $400,000 prize fund.
