Aida Bauyrzhanova secures bronze, elevating Kazakhstan's standing in the 2024 Asian Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Tashkent, QazMonitor reports citing the Kazakhstan Olympic Committee.
Competition: On May 24-26, the capital of Uzbekistan hosted the 11th edition of the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, attracting athletes from China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, North Korea, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Aida Bauyrzhanova showcased her skills, securing the third spot in the floor exercise finals with a score of 13.066 points. She trailed behind Chen Xinyi (13.133 points) from China and Emma Malabuyo (13.300 points) from the Philippines.
In the individual all-around event, Bauyrzhanova achieved 4th place with 50.365 points, closely following Emma Malabuyo (50.398 points), Qin Xinyi (50.566 points), and Hu Jiafei (50.699 points).
Bauyrzhanova’s win placed Team Kazakhstan in the 8th position on the medal table, tied with Team Uzbekistan.
