Astana Hub has announced the launch of the 14th innovation center in Kazakhstan. Located in Konayev, the municipal center of the Almaty region, Alatau Hub aims to foster the regional IT community, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of Astana Hub.
Alatau Hub: The center will adopt Astana Hub's educational and incubation programs, serving as the primary venue for various IT-related events in the region, such as meetups, pizza pitches, workshops, speaker talks, and idea battles. These programs will shape and nurture the IT community in the Almaty region, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The development of regional hubs is one of Astana Hub's priority tasks. These hubs are designed to cultivate local IT communities nationwide, ensuring a continuous stream of IT talent.
Since 2023, regional hubs have hosted over a thousand events and presented around 300 startup ideas. These hubs collaborate with Google Developers Group, USAID, Digital Nomads, and inDrive.
Additionally, more than 80 IT companies from the regions have joined Astana Hub as participants.
Our regional hubs play a key role in creating and maintaining an ecosystem that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological progress. Young people have the opportunity not only to learn but also to apply their knowledge in practice, creating their own companies and innovative products. This contributes to the creation of new jobs, economic growth, and the country's competitiveness in the international arena.
Astana Hub aims to establish new centers in Atyrau, Petropavl, Shymkent, Zhanaozen, and Zhezkazgan by the end of the year.
