President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to the world boxing champion Gennady Golovkin on his birthday, Inform.kz reports.
On April 8, the Kazakhstani boxing star celebrated his 40th birthday.
On the eve of the upcoming fight, the President wished Golovkin new victories, prosperity, and good health.
Golovkin posted the message on his Twitter page thanking the President for the warm wishes.
The match will take place on April 9 in Saitama where Golovkin will defend his IBF and IBO middleweight champion title against Japanese WBA Super belt holder Ryota Murata.
