The honorary consulate of Kazakhstan has opened its doors in Magdeburg, the capital of the German Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
What happened: On April 22, Magdeburg hosted the opening ceremony of Kazakhstan's honorary consulate in Saxony-Anhalt. Ambassador Nurlan Onzhanov and Rainer Robra, the region’s Head of the State Chancellery and Minister of Culture, addressed the event.
The ambassador introduced honorary consul Felix von Limburg and presented him with a consular patent.
The honorary consulate, though without consular activities, will serve the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.
