On March 23, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired an operational meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana, Akorda press service reports.
Once again condemning the brutal act of violence against civilians in the Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region, the Head of State reaffirmed Kazakhstan's solidarity with Russia in the fight against terrorism.
The Security Council discussed the action plans for law enforcement agencies and local executive bodies, as well as coordination of their activities in extreme situations.
The President issued instructions to strengthen measures to ensure the safety of Kazakhstan’s citizens and enhance the country’s cooperation with other states and international organizations in countering terrorism.
