On December 11, the Department of Emergency Situations of the Kostanay region issued its final report on the explosion in the Amangeldy settlement, which led to the collapse of a one-story building designated for truck repair, QazMonitor reports citing the Department’s Instagram publication.
"As of 7:40 p.m., the situation is as follows: a total of 15 people were injured, three of whom died as a result of the gas-air mixture explosion and the subsequent collapse of the service station's roof. Three individuals were successfully rescued from the rubble, while three others were found showing no signs of life," the Department reported.
The Department clarified that a total of 10 people are in the hospital; one of them is in serious condition. Additionally, a criminal case was initiated under Article 292 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, charging the violation of fire safety requirements, resulting in the negligent death of two or more people.
