Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan signed a memorandum of cooperation in rail and sea transport logistics, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
On November 26-27, the Kazakh delegation, led by Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev, visited Ashgabat and held a meeting with Batyr Annaev, Deputy Director-General of the Agency for Transport and Communications of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the memorandum for the development of traffic volume between the two countries, the creation of favorable tariff conditions, the adoption of joint measures to harmonize infrastructure development, and the introduction of digital solutions for the mutual exchange of information.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly develop the China–Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan–Iran railway corridor.
