On September 4, the upper house of Parliament discussed measures to increase efficiency and reduce the time required for customs clearance by implementing electronic information exchange for goods and vehicles transported between Kazakhstan and Turkiye, QazMonitor reports citing the senate’s press service.
Members of the Senate's Finance and Budget Committee noted that the potential agreement will prioritize clearance at border crossings and exempt shipments from customs inspection at checkpoints, except in cases where there are indications of customs-related offenses or smuggling.
According to the senators, ratifying the agreement will contribute to creating favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activities and carriers.
