Qazaqstan Monitor: Beatboxer From Uralsk Won the Battle Against the World Champion at Beatbox United 2022

Eldar Gabdullin from Uralsk defeated one of the strongest beatboxers in the world, Wing, from South Korea, at Beatbox United 2022. While the South Korean beatboxer was the viewer favorite, @dropical_beatbox managed to snatch victory, win 400 euros and pass to the next stage.

The Beatbox United Online Battle 2022 is an international competition organized by the German beatboxers Chezame and SXIN. The event started on March 1, 2022, with 16 of the best beatboxers in the world.

Battles are recorded in advance. Each participant must send a high-quality video, which is then evaluated by a jury in 7 categories. For each victory, participants receive a cash prize.

Eldar Gabdullin began to learn beatboxing on his own with the help of YouTube videos back in 2015 when he was only 15 years old. Eldar is studying to become an English teacher in Uralsk.

He shared that his parents were against it initially and only now began to support and understand this musical genre.

In 2021, he became the world champion in beatboxing. The competition was held online.

"When I prepare for a battle, I pay attention to the style of the opponent. There are musical, technical, or bass styles. I try to repeat their style, adding my own. The first opponent was musical and not in the mood for a battle. But, since it is a battle, our goal was to tease him a bit, focused on energetic battle spirit. Now I am preparing for the next battle. The opponent is yet unknown."

He said.
