On August 8, Kazakhstan and Kuwait conducted negotiations in Astana for an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion on income and capital, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Finance.
During the meeting, the parties made significant progress in agreeing on the text of the draft agreement, leaving only two provisions open for the next round. The proposed draft aims to strengthen and expand economic cooperation, creating favorable conditions for investment between the countries by eliminating double taxation for residents.
For this purpose, the parties agreed to discuss and revise any uncoordinated provisions in the document and provide necessary feedback for the next round.
