The joint ministerial decree has extended the ban on the export of gasoline and diesel from Kazakhstan by road transport for an additional six months, QazMonitor reports.
The document, signed by the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Security Committee, specifies that gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain petroleum products (except lubricating oils) are prohibited for export, with exceptions for gasoline tanks provided by vehicle manufacturers and aviation fuel for research purposes.
The State Revenue Committee and the Border Service enforced the decree, with assistance from the Internal Ministry to prevent unauthorized exports of gasoline and diesel fuel that does not meet vehicle manufacturer standards.
