Until the end of this year, Kazakhstan plans to host 21 international sports tournaments of varying scales, QazMonitor reports citing the sport and physical education committee.

Yerbol Myrzabosynov, the chair of the sport and physical education committee, said that organizing such international events serves multiple purposes.

"First, it aims to increase general interest in sports and promote their popularity. Additionally, such competitions allow us to utilize our sports infrastructure and assess its compliance with international standards. Our athletes gain valuable experience at the highest level. Of course, when organizing such events, we prioritize minimizing costs," said Myrzabosynov.
