Digital minister Bagdat Mussin met with Adam Smith, vice president of product management at YouTube, and offered the company to open a regional office in Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports.
The minister said on the margins of a government meeting that the Kazakh side held talks with Youtube representatives in Silicon Valley regarding the expansion of the company's various services in Kazakhstan.
“I also suggested opening a local office in our country. To which [Adam Smith] replied that he will give the necessary instructions to the local European office, which supervises Kazakhstan. They will go through the proposal and give an answer later on,” Mussin said.
