American social media platform YouTube has announced plans to launch its premium subscription in Kazakhstan this year, QazMonitor reports.
Digital development minister Bagdat Musin held talks with Adam Smith, vice president of product management at YouTube, on expanding access to the company's various services in Kazakhstan.
“This is an indicator that our market is becoming more and more attractive for major tech companies. The opportunity to purchase a premium account opens access to a large number of YouTube services that were previously unavailable in our country,” said Musin.
YouTube Premium is a subscription service that allows ad-free access to videos across the platform, the YouTube Originals programming, downloading videos, and the YouTube Music streaming service.]
