On February 28, the U.S. secretary of state Antony J. Blinken will pay an official visit to Astana and discuss the bilateral cooperation with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Foreign minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi, QazMonitor reports.
Blinken is expected to attend the C5+1 ministerial meeting between the United States and five Central Asian countries. The meeting will discuss the current agenda for strengthening economic, energy, environmental, and security cooperation among participating states.
The secretary will also meet separately on the margins of the C5+1 ministerial with senior government officials from the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan to discuss opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
