Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina now has the highest number of aces among female tennis players at the Australian Open 2023, QazMonitor reports.
The Australian Open has been a good run for Rybakina who is now a contender for a second Grand Slam title if she wins against Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday.
After her semifinals match against Victoria Azarenka on Thursday, the Australian Open revealed that she made a total of 44 aces in her games, which is the highest figure in women’s singles. The second highest is Karolina Pliskova with 31 aces followed by Rybakina’s finals opponent Sabalenka with 29.
In men’s singles, Ben Shelton has served 85 aces.
