Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina became the winner of the World Tennis League exhibition tournament in Dubai, UAE, QazMonitor reports citing KTF.
Rybakina played for the Hawks team along with Alexander Zverev, Dominik Thiem, and Anastassia Pavlyuchenkova.
In the final match against Polish Iga Świątek, the current world no.1, Rybakina overwhelmed her opponent in two sets with the score 6:3, 6:1. The game lasted for one hour and two minutes.
Earlier, she defeated the world’s fifth-best, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, and two-time Grand Slam champion Caroline Garcia. Rybakina won every single match in the tournament.
