Kazakhstan to Host Organization of Turkic States Summit in 2023

The second Turkic Universiade will also be hosted by Kazakhstan

The 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Kazakhstan in 2023, QazMonitor reports.

The announcement was made during the meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the newly appointed Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev today.

As a founding member, Kazakhstan is interested in the development of multilateral cooperation with Turkic states and will give maximum support to the organization, noted the Kazakh President.

He emphasized that, to date, its importance as a unique platform for strengthening cooperation and unity of the Turkic peoples has significantly increased. International organizations have expressed their interest in expanding trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties with the OTS.

Presently, the secretariat is tasked with implementing measures adopted at the October summit in Samarkand.

The Turkic Universiade will also be hosted by Kazakhstan in 2023.
