Coursera and EdX courses are planned to be translated into the Kazakh language, said Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, QazMonitor reports citing KazTAG.
At a government meeting on Wednesday, the minister revealed that relevant online courses have been selected to be included in educational programs. The list consists of 654 courses on Coursera and 650 educational programs across 1,500 disciplines.
Students will be able to receive academic credit for taking the approved courses.
The minister promised that all students will be provided access to the world's digital resources, which include Coursera and EdX, necessary for education.
