Kazakhstan’s deputy prime minister - minister of trade and integration Serik Zhumangarin shared that the ministry offered popular fast food chain McDonald’s assistance with resolving issues with the supply chain, QazMonitor reports citing Interfax Kazakhstan.

About 1,000 items of food products have already been imported, said Zhumangarin, adding that he ordered the Committee on Technical Regulation to help with the certification and management of McDonald’s in Kazakhstan.

On November 18, McDonald’s temporarily halted operations of all its restaurants in Kazakhstan due to a scarcity of local supplies.

Until the suspension, there were 24 McDonald's restaurants operating in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanai, and Karagandy.
