The construction of a multi-brand plant for the production of Changan, Chery, and Haval cars was launched on November 15 in Almaty, QazMonitor reports citing Central Communications Service.
The area of the production facilities will be more than 100,000 square meters. A separate welding and assembly unit will be built for each of the three car brands.
Valued at more than ₸100 billion ($217.4 million), the investment project will produce at least 90,000 vehicles annually. It will also create 2,200 jobs at the plant.
The plant is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
