The famous “Medeu” high-mountain ice rink is expected to open its doors in the summer season, on June 1, Informburo reports. The summer center will include a summer ice skating rink, a 'rollerdrome', a skating park, and an art project that has not been revealed yet.
According to the press secretary of "Medeu" Kirill Pyartel, there has never been a large summer skating rink due to strong air temperature fluctuations. The current one will be subsequently a smaller venue. The installation and engineering works are underway, and the equipment is being tested.
The opening of the summer center is part of Medeu's development program. This year, on December 28, it will be 50 years since the stadium was founded.
