On April 17, the esports platform for online competitions in PvP multiplayer games FACEIT launched its Counter-Strike 2 servers in Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports.

What it means: The launch of FACEIT’s servers in Kazakhstan means local CS2 players can anticipate better connections and lower ping (ranging from 1 to 30). This will enable both casual and professional players to compete in Central Asia, freeing the latter from the need to set up bootcamps for Kazakh esports organizations in Europe.

FACEIT: Founded in 2011 in London, FACEIT is an esports gaming platform for online multiplayer games, with more than 6 million users logging in for a total of over 12 million online game sessions per month. In addition to Counter-Strike 2, the company also administers leagues for other esports games such as League of Legends, Rocket League, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2, Overwatch 2, and others.
