The Kazakh artist’s intricate leaf-cut art, depicting the famous character Liu Kang, was featured in the promotional campaign for Mortal Kombat 1, QazMonitor reports.
Kanat Nurtazin, an artist renowned for his tree leaf artistry, was invited to take part in the promotional campaign for Warner Bros. Games' highly anticipated fighting game scheduled for release on September 14.
“72 hours of work and 31 carved leaves to emphasize the greatness of the most popular fighting game. Here is my contribution to the MK Kollective to celebrate the release of MK1,” shared Nurtazin on his Instagram.
Kanat is one of seventeen artists from around the world selected for the MK Kollective ambassadors campaign, each showcasing their unique style to create artwork featuring the game's colorful cast of characters.
