Award-winning Broadway performer Divaa N'Kenge attended the 65th Grammys red carpet wearing a dress by Kazakh designer Alexey Chzhen, QazMonitor reports.
The singer participated in the event as part of the “Caroline, or Change” cast, a musical theater production nominated in the Best Musical Theater Cast Album.
For the ceremony, the nominee chose a dress from two designs tailored to her request – a fuchsia evening dress and a yellow cocktail dress to wear later for the event.
"The main point that the singer wanted to achieve was a sense of drama and Burlesque in the overall look,” shared Chzhen.
During the sewing process, we introduced some changes, which were different from the sketches, but it turned out quite well.
Alexey Chzhen is the founder and CEO of Kazakhstan Fashion Week, the country’s largest fashion event. His works have been showcased at numerous fashion shows across Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
