Qazaqstan Monitor: A 14-year-old Girl Won a Competition in South Korea

Snezhanna Lee, 14, from Aktobe, took part in the International Super Queen Korea contest. She was the only one representing Kazakhstan at the international competition, competing with 1,000 children from around the world.

Snezhanna won a gold cup, one million won (about 400,000 tenge or $917), and signed a contract with a modeling agency for fashion shows and starring in doramas (Korean series). 

Her family left Kazakhstan for South Korea 3 years ago because of work and now lives in Incheon. Snezhanna is in the eighth grade.
